Professional Series

The Professional Series sits at the top of the Proline X line. It is the enclosure standard for drivers that outgrow a trunk-sized cabinet: high-excursion, high-power subwoofers where the baffle has to hold the motor still and the port has to stay clean at the power the driver is actually run at. Like Performance Optimized, every Professional cabinet is solved to one driver's published Thiele-Small parameters. What the series adds is how heavily it is built and how large it is allowed to be.

The baffle is the panel under the most direct mechanical stress in a high-output build, and it is the defining feature here. Professional cabinets use a multi-layer front layup, double or triple depending on the build, with the triple reaching 2.25": two structural 3/4" layers the woofer bolts through, plus an outer 3/4" layer routed for the flange so the woofer sits flush with the face. A single or double baffle can flex under sustained excursion, which changes the driver's effective mounting and its behaviour; the heavier layup holds its dimension. A glossy black acrylic insert carrying the driver brand's logo is standard on every cabinet, dropped into the routed pocket on the face.

Most Professional builds are ported, because the drivers this standard exists for are built for output and their parameters put them in ported territory. Port area and length are solved for the driver and then checked at 1.5 times its rated power for velocity and cone excursion, so the cabinet stays clean at the level the amplifier will actually deliver, and each datasheet states the tuning frequency. A few sealed builds exist for reference drivers where control, not output, is the point.

Construction is Langboard Elite MDF on dado joinery, CNC cut in Tullahoma, Tennessee, and finished in plush black carpet. Mounting uses threaded inserts on the driver's published bolt circle where we hold it; where the bolt pattern is not published, the cabinet ships with a threaded insert kit instead, with the matching drill bit, screws, key and gasket tape. Every cabinet is pre-wired in 12-gauge OFC to the Proline X composite terminal cup.

Space is the thing to plan for. A ported cabinet holds the net volume the alignment needs plus the port, and net volumes at this standard reach ten cubic feet, so check the external dimensions in the table before committing to the driver. Cabinets at or under 105 pounds ship parcel; heavier builds ship freight, and each listing states which. Professional Series cabinets carry a two-year limited warranty on the enclosure, separate from the driver's own.
