Performance in this enclosure
01Is it a sealed driver?
Efficiency bandwidth product places the motor before anything else is decided.
02What the box does to it
0.70 cu ft against a 47.4 L Vas.
03The watts that reach Xmax (in this enclosure)
Travel scales with the square root of power, so there is one wattage that puts the cone exactly on 14.8 mm — and a bigger one once a subsonic filter stops it wasting travel below the passband.
| Param | Value | Unit | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fs | 26.24 | Hz | free-air resonance |
| Qts | 0.519 / 0.615 | D2 / D4 | |
| Vas | 47.44 / 43.24 | L | equivalent compliance |
| Sd | 346.0 | cm² | effective piston area |
| Xmax | 14.8 | mm | one-way linear travel |
| Pe | 200 | W | continuous RMS |
| SPL | 83.5 | dB | 1 W / 1 m, derived from T/S |

From the shop floor
Installer's take
Mount it shallow edge up. The 8.5 inch face goes at the top, the 13 inch face sits on the floor, and the cabinet leans back into the seat or bulkhead. Fitted the other way round it stands proud, wastes the space it exists to save, and puts the baffle back parallel with the glass. Obvious on paper, less obvious in a dark cargo area at the end of a job.
This is the smaller of the two Performance wedges at 14.5 inches wide, which makes it a genuinely easy fit in a compact hatch or a small SUV cargo area where the 12 inch version would be tight. Worth measuring the width across your seat back rather than assuming, because the wedge only works if the full deep edge sits flat on the floor.
Secure it before you leave. A loaded 10 in a 0.70 cubic foot cabinet still carries enough mass to move under hard braking on a carpeted floor. Tie it to a factory anchor point or through bolt to the floor pan. Decide your impedance before ordering as well, since the driver is installed and the cabinet sealed before it ships.

Questions
What comes in this system?
A Proline X P10-S W sealed wedge enclosure at 0.70 cubic feet net, with the Arc Audio X2V2 10 already mounted, gasketed and sealed against the baffle in your chosen D2 or D4 configuration. The driver is prewired with 12 gauge OFC to a recessed Proline X terminal cup and polyfill is installed. Choose dark gray trunkliner or plush black carpet above. An amplifier, power wire and RCA cables are not included.
Should I choose D2 or D4?
Whichever matches the load your amplifier is stable at. D2 wired parallel gives a 1 ohm final load or 4 ohms in series. D4 wired parallel gives 2 ohms or 8 ohms in series. Most single subwoofer builds run the D4 parallel at 2 ohms. Decide before ordering, because the driver is installed and the cabinet is sealed before it ships.
Do I need an amplifier, and how much power?
Yes. This is a passive enclosure with no amplification built in. Target 150 to 200 watts RMS at your final impedance from a Class D monoblock. The X2V2 10 is rated at 200 watts RMS continuous, so stay in that range rather than chasing the 400 watt peak figure. A clean amplifier at the rated power will outperform a clipping one at double it. If you are keeping the factory head unit you will also need a line output converter or a DSP with speaker level inputs.
Which way round does the wedge mount?
Shallow edge up, deep edge on the floor, leaning back into the seat back or bulkhead. Mounted that way the cabinet occupies space that was already awkward and leaves the flat cargo floor usable. Mounted the other way round it stands proud and you lose the advantage the shape exists to give you.
Why 0.70 cubic feet?
Arc Audio publishes a sealed range of 0.65 to 1.0 cubic feet for the X2V2 10. This cabinet sits at 0.70, near the lower end, which raises system Qtc and trades a little anechoic extension for more midbass punch and tighter control. In a vehicle, cabin gain below 80 Hz restores most of what the smaller box gives up on paper. If you want the more relaxed alignment, a larger cabinet is the way to get it.
How much space does this need?
14.5 inches wide, 13 inches tall, and 13 inches deep at the base tapering to 8.5 at the top. That is a genuinely compact footprint for a 10 inch sealed system and it fits compact hatches and small SUV cargo areas where the 12 inch wedge would be tight. Measure the width across your seat back, because the wedge only works properly if the full deep edge sits flat on the floor.
What is the warranty on this system?
The enclosure carries a 1 year limited warranty on craftsmanship and materials, which is the standard across the Performance and Performance Optimized lines. Micro Series and Professional Series enclosures carry 2 years. The Arc Audio X2V2 10 carries its own 1 year manufacturer warranty separately, handled through Arc Audio.
How should the enclosure be secured in the vehicle?
Anchor it properly. A loaded 10 in a 0.70 cubic foot cabinet carries enough mass to move under hard braking on a carpeted floor. Use factory anchor points or through bolt to the floor pan rather than relying on a single strap over the top. This is a safety consideration in a hard stop, not a rattle prevention measure, and it is worth doing at install time instead of after something shifts.
