This enclosure holds 0.53 cu ft net per driver. In it the Kicker CompRT 10 (48CWRT102) runs a system Qtc of 0.89–1.05 with half power at 42.2–43.9 Hz, and the cone reaches its 13.35 mm travel limit at 393 W, below the driver’s 400 W thermal rating, so travel is what stops you here, not heat. Run a subsonic filter at 25 Hz and that becomes 417 W — +23 W, or 6 percent more power for the same 13.35 mm of travel.

01Is it a sealed driver?

Efficiency bandwidth product places the motor before anything else is decided.

EBP = Fs ÷ Qes = 48.7–56.8
SEALED 0–50 TRANSITION 50–100 PORTED 100–150 0 50 100 150 D2 56.8 D4 48.7
D2 · EBP 56.8D4 · EBP 48.7
The CompRT 10 (48CWRT102) straddles the boundary at 48.7–56.8 depending on coil — part sealed-band, part transition. Either way it takes a sealed load happily; the coil you run shifts the alignment more than it shifts this verdict.

02What the box does to it

0.53 cu ft against a 35.4 L Vas.

α = Vas ÷ Vb = 2.38  ·  Fc = Fs√(α+1) = 53–55 Hz  ·  Qtc = 0.89–1.05
20 30 50 70 100 150 200 +6 +0 -6 -12 -18 -24 FREQUENCY · Hz LEVEL · dB −3 dB
D2 · Qtc 0.89, Fc 53 Hz, F3 43.9 HzD4 · Qtc 1.05, Fc 55 Hz, F3 42.2 Hz
The box lifts resonance from 28.7 Hz free-air to 53–55 Hz and half power lands at 42.2–43.9 Hz, anechoic, before any cabin gain. This system is offered in both coil variants, so both are plotted. They do not load the same box the same way.

03The watts that reach Xmax (in this enclosure)

Travel scales with the square root of power, so there is one wattage that puts the cone exactly on 13.35 mm — and a bigger one once a subsonic filter stops it wasting travel below the passband.

PXmax = 393–437 W unfiltered  →  417–446 W with a 25 Hz subsonic
20 30 50 70 100 150 200 0 4 8 12 16 FREQUENCY · Hz CONE TRAVEL · mm PAST LINEAR TRAVEL · Xmax 13.35 mm 393 W reaches Xmax here
D2 · 393 W, no filterD4 · 437 W, no filterD2 · 417 W with subsonic at 25 Hz, 24 dB/octD4 · 446 W with subsonic at 25 Hz, 24 dB/octXmax 13.35 mm one-way
Every trace touches the limit and no further, because each is drawn at the exact power that puts that coil on 13.35 mm. Unfiltered that is 393 W, reached first at 32 Hz. It sits under the 400 W the driver can take thermally, so the enclosure sets the ceiling, not the voice coil. The dashed traces are the same driver behind a subsonic filter at 25 Hz, 24 dB/oct: stopping the cone wasting travel below the passband lets it take 417 W before hitting the same 13.35 mm. That is 6 percent more amplifier for the price of one filter setting.

Installer's take

Work out your final impedance before you order, not after the box is in the truck. Two CompRT 10s land at the terminal cup with each driver's coils in parallel, and where you take the pair from there decides whether your amplifier is happy. Sort that with your amp's spec sheet in front of you.

This is a common chamber build. Behind seat depth will not take a divider, so both drivers share the 1.05 cubic feet, which works out to 0.525 cubic feet of loading each. That is a deliberate build decision and not a shortcut.

Two tens behind the seat move real air in a small sealed cab. Set the gain with the doors closed and the seat in its normal position, and give the rear seat mounts a check after the first week. Nothing loosens a fastener like 800 watts of combined RMS a few inches away from it.

Questions

What subwoofer is in this enclosure?

This enclosure ships loaded with the Kicker CompRT 10 subwoofer, built to fit the Ford F-150, pre-wired and ready to mount and connect.

Is it ready to install?

Yes. It is CNC-cut from Langboard Elite MDF at our Tennessee facility with the sub set and pre-wired, so you mount it and connect your amplifier.

What warranty does it carry?

The Proline X enclosure carries a 2-year warranty and the subwoofer its manufacturer warranty, with lifetime install support from Audio Intensity.

Can I order this without the CompRT 10 installed?

Yes. Order it bare and mount your own, or order it loaded and we mount the drivers, dress the wiring and ship it ready to bolt in.

What impedance does it ship wired to?

Available D2 or D4 by variant, coils wired in parallel: 1 ohm per driver on the D2, 2 ohm on the D4. Both drivers land at the terminal cup, so the final system load depends on how you join them at the amplifier.

Is this common chamber or dual chamber?

Common chamber. Both drivers share a single 1.05 cubic foot volume, 0.525 cubic feet of loading each.

What amplifier should I run?

Target 600 to 800 watts RMS total. Available D2 or D4 by variant, coils wired in parallel: 1 ohm per driver on the D2, 2 ohm on the D4. A clean Class D monoblock in that range is the correct match.

What warranty and shipping come with this enclosure?

The enclosure carries a 2 year limited warranty and ships free to the lower 48 states. Every enclosure is built one at a time in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
