What makes an enclosure vehicle specific
A universal box is a rectangle you find room for. A Vehicle Specific enclosure is cut to the measured contours of one cab, so the panels follow the floor, the seat back and the wheel wells instead of clearing them. That buys net volume in a space where a rectangle wastes it, and it puts the mounting points where the factory structure already is.
Construction
Every Vehicle Specific enclosure is CNC cut from 3/4″ Langboard Elite MDF on our ShopSabre routers in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Langboard Elite runs 48.5 lbs per cubic foot with a 200 psi internal bond and 410,000 psi MOE, which is what keeps a thin behind-seat wall stiff. Terminal cups are ABS and carbon fiber composite with stainless hardware and copper ring terminals, pre-wired with 12-gauge OFC.
Chambers
Behind-seat enclosures built for two drivers use a common chamber. The quoted volume is the total for the box.
Before you order
Fitment goes by cab and model year, not by nameplate. Check the year range and cab configuration on the listing against your truck, and check your driver’s mounting depth against the enclosure’s. If your driver wants a net volume we do not list, say so. We run the routers, so a one-off is a change to the cutting file rather than a special order.
Warranty
Vehicle Specific enclosures carry a 2-year limited warranty covering structural failure and manufacturing defects: bracing, glue joints, carpet adhesion, terminal cups and internal wiring. When a build ships loaded, the driver carries its own manufacturer warranty separately.
