Installer's take

0.65 cubic feet per chamber, the top of Audiomobile's own sealed range, Qtc 0.819 and F3 39.0 Hz on the parameter set we trust for this driver.

The EVO is the reason this dual stays shallow: 7.26 at the top, 12.72 at the base, 30 wide and 15 tall, with 2.67 inch over the 3.9 inch motor.

Cutout is the GT2's 9.2. No bolt circle is published, so the inserts ship in the kit: mark from the driver, drill, press.

Sealed, so leave the polyfill as it is and run 350 to 500 watts per driver. A D4 pair wires to 4 ohms, an S4 pair to 2 or 8.

Questions

Does this fit the Audiomobile EVO 2410 in both the S4 and D4 versions?

Yes. Both versions share the 10.65 in frame, the 3.9 in mounting depth and the 9.2 in cutout, which is the same cutout as Audiomobile's GT2 10. The motor clears the raked back with 2.67 in to spare. Run two of the same version so the chambers match.

Any other 10, no. The airspace is set for the EVO's own figures, and a different woofer that happened to drop into the hole would not see the alignment printed on this page.

Why 0.65 cubic feet per chamber, and what alignment does it target?

0.65 cubic feet net per chamber, the top of Audiomobile's own 0.5 to 0.65 cubic foot sealed recommendation for the EVO 2410. On Fs 27 Hz, Qts 0.50 and Vas 31 liters that is Qtc 0.819, system resonance 44.2 Hz and half power 39.0 Hz: a little above maximally flat, firm and punchy, with a small lift near resonance. Displacement is taken as 0.08 cubic feet per driver.

The alignment uses Fs 27 Hz, Qts 0.50 and Vas 31 liters for the EVO 2410. Audiomobile does not print a full Thiele-Small table on its own pages, and this set is not from a published Audiomobile sheet; it is the set that holds together with the driver's 207 gram moving mass and with Audiomobile's own sealed recommendation. Another figure in circulation, Qts 0.70 and Vas 42 liters, would read Qtc 1.27 in this box and does not square with that moving mass. Treat the alignment below as a well-founded estimate rather than a maker figure.

What amplifier power should I run, and how should I wire it?

Audiomobile rates the EVO 2410 at 500 watts RMS per driver, so target 350 to 500 watts RMS per driver at the final load.

Two dual 4 ohm EVO 2410s land on 4 ohms with each driver's coils in series and the pair in parallel, or 1 ohm with everything in parallel; use 1 ohm only on an amplifier rated stable there. Two single 4 ohm drivers give 2 ohms in parallel or 8 in series. Run a matched pair. Confirm your amplifier's minimum stable impedance first.

Why the wedge angle, and why rear-firing into the trunk?

The seat-side face carries a 20 degree rake that matches the lean of a factory rear seat back, so the cabinet sits flush against it and the cargo space in front stays usable. The baffle is the vertical trunk-lid-side face, so the drivers fire rearward into the trunk cavity.

The trunk acts as an acoustic extension for the sealed box, and the cabin adds real output below 50 Hz, so in-vehicle response runs deeper than the anechoic 39.0 Hz on this page.

Why two separate chambers instead of one shared volume?

Two drivers sharing one sealed volume load each other: each driver's compression stroke becomes the pressure the other works against, which blurs the alignment either would have alone. A bonded full-height 3/4 inch divider gives each driver its own 0.65 cubic feet and its own polyfill.

It also means a failure in one driver does not unload the other, and the alignment on this page is the alignment in each chamber, not an average across a shared box.

What is the expected low-frequency extension?

Anechoic F3 is 39.0 Hz per chamber with system resonance at 44.2 Hz. Above Qtc 0.707 F3 sits below fc, so the response carries a small lift near resonance before it rolls off.

Those figures exclude cabin gain. In a car the cabin's transfer function adds real output below 50 Hz, so in-vehicle response runs deeper than the numbers above.

Do I need to add polyfill or damping?

No. Polyfill is already installed in both chambers as a light wall lining to control internal reflections, and the quantity is chosen so it does not change the acoustic volume.

Do not add more. Packing a sealed box with fill makes it behave as though it were larger, which walks the alignment away from the 0.65 cubic feet per chamber this cabinet was built to.

Are the drivers included, and are the threaded inserts installed?

No drivers. This is an enclosure only. You receive the cabinet finished in plush black carpet with the gloss black acrylic baffle insert, one side-mounted pre-wired terminal cup to both positions, the polyfill lining already in place, and a threaded insert kit with stainless machine screws.

The inserts ship loose on purpose: Audiomobile prints no bolt circle for the EVO 2410, so you set each driver in its recess, mark its holes, drill and press the inserts. The pair of EVO 2410 is purchased separately.
