Installer's take
This is a ported eight, so the port does the work that volume alone does in a sealed box. It is 0.75 cubic feet net tuned to 36 Hz, and both of those numbers matter together. Change one without the other and you are not listening to this enclosure any more.
Do not block the port. That sounds obvious until the box is under a seat or against a bulkhead with carpet pressed to the opening. Give the port clear air at both ends, and keep cargo from resting against it, because a partially obstructed port changes tuning and adds noise that is easy to mistake for a failing driver.
Below 36 Hz the driver unloads and excursion climbs quickly, which is the normal behaviour of any vented alignment. Run a subsonic filter a few Hz under tuning and the P8W will stay well inside itself. It is cut on ShopSabre routers from Langboard Elite three quarter inch MDF with V-groove and dado joinery and a double layer baffle.

This enclosure ships loaded with the Helix Precision P8W subwoofer, pre-wired and ready to mount and connect.
Is it ready to install?
Yes. It is CNC-cut from Langboard Elite MDF at our Tennessee facility with the sub set and pre-wired, so you mount it and connect your amplifier.
What warranty does it carry?
The Proline X enclosure carries a 2-year warranty and the subwoofer its manufacturer warranty, with lifetime install support from Audio Intensity.
Can I order this without the P8W installed?
Yes. Order it bare and mount your own, or order it loaded and we mount the driver, dress the wiring and ship it ready to bolt in.
What impedance does it ship wired to?
Voice coils wired in parallel. Tell us at checkout if you need it wired differently.
How is this enclosure built?
It is cut on ShopSabre CNC routers from Langboard Elite three quarter inch MDF with V-groove and dado joinery, a double layer baffle minimum, and threaded inserts matched to the driver's own bolt pattern.
What warranty and shipping come with this enclosure?
The enclosure carries a 2 year limited warranty and ships free to the lower 48 states. Every enclosure is built one at a time in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
